Crawlora vs ShortDramaKit for short drama data

Compare Crawlora's direct ReelShort endpoint with ShortDramaKit's quoted tasks and saved CSV/JSON exports, including inputs, counting rules and billing.

Crawlora maps a title reference to a direct JSON response. ShortDramaKit maps an accepted task to a saved export.
Illustrated workflows from the documented product scope.

Evaluate Crawlora for direct structured endpoint responses. Evaluate ShortDramaKit for quoted research tasks and reusable drama exports. Both can be relevant to a developer working with short-drama metadata. The main decision is how the result enters your application or spreadsheet.

Crawlora's authentication and endpoint pages define its input, response and credit rules. ShortDramaKit's API guide defines its task lifecycle. Crawlora endpoint, Crawlora authentication, ShortDramaKit API.

When a direct endpoint fits

A developer who already maintains a catalogue may want one structured response to map into an existing schema. Crawlora documents GET /reelshort/movie with an id parameter, accepting a ReelShort title ID or an appropriate original URL. The page describes title, language, counters, tags, cast and episode metadata. It explicitly describes this as catalogue data, without playable video. Endpoint contract.

Evaluate that response against your required fields. Decide which identifiers and timestamps your importer retains, and how it handles missing values or a changed schema. Keep API keys on your server. Crawlora's authentication guide gives that server-side pattern. Authentication guidance.

When a saved task fits

Quote gives an estimate, accepting a task reserves its maximum, settlement charges delivered work, and export reads the saved result.

Illustrated task lifecycle. An advance POST may progress accepted work; it is not a read-only status check.

An editor who wants to inspect a short list before sharing it has another sequence. In ShortDramaKit, choose a supported operation, review the estimate, start the accepted task, then check the returned identity and coverage before exporting.

The API follows the same account balance and saved-task model. GET capabilities reads configuration without starting work. POST quotes returns an estimate. POST tasks accepts that quote and reserves up to its maximum. Read the resulting task and export from its saved state. An advance POST can progress accepted work, so treat it as an action with execution effects. Task lifecycle.

This model is useful when you want the original reference, checked time and partial-result notes to stay with a working list. Start with a small input and confirm the selected platform's requirements. First export walkthrough, Platform coverage.

Compare episode definitions before comparing row counts

Historical manual count:73 directory entries contain 72 numbered episodes and 1 labelled trailer.

The same directory can support two counts. Historical manual observation; no playback or current API result is implied.

Crawlora documents an explicit distinction between its numbered episode count and a directory that can include a trailer. That distinction deserves an importer check. Episode-field documentation.

A historical example shows why. In an internal manual check of Agent of Shadows on 31 October 2026, we read seven official English directory pages. They contained 73 unique entries, comprising one labelled trailer and EP 1 through EP 72. The visible page label said 73 episodes.

What we countedObserved in that check
Directory entries73
Numbered episode entries72
Separately labelled trailers1
Gaps in the numbered sequence0

This was a manual directory observation. It does not establish the current directory, playback access or the result either API would return today. It gives you a concrete importer question. Does the stored count represent numbered episodes, every directory entry or only the rows returned by a bounded request? Original directory reference, Reading count differences.

In ShortDramaKit, retain the result's reported count and coverage note alongside its actual returned rows. Keep unknown access distinct from free access. Result interpretation.

Compare the cost of the same defined job

Crawlora's pricing page lists 2,000 free monthly credits, a $9/month Starter plan with 20,000 credits and a $29/month Growth plan with 100,000 credits. Daily caps and rate limits also apply. The documented ReelShort detail endpoint costs one credit per successful 2xx response. Confirm the current endpoint weight and plan limits before projecting volume. Crawlora pricing, Endpoint billing.

ShortDramaKit lists prepaid packs starting at $5 for 500 credits. Website and API tasks share the balance. The estimate identifies the chargeable work, and a final charge stays within the accepted maximum. A fresh observation and another export of an existing result have different execution effects. Pricing, Billing details.

For a fair budget, define how many title observations you need, what each operation returns, how often you refresh and what you retain locally. Request credits and task credits have different meanings. An equal credit count does not establish equal output capacity.

Questions to settle before integrating

Can I reuse my existing client?

Map the contract first. Crawlora documents a direct endpoint response. ShortDramaKit exposes a quote and task workflow. Authentication, request inputs, result status and export retrieval all need to match your client. Crawlora documentation, ShortDramaKit API.

Which covers the platforms I need?

Check the specific operation and original input on each product. A catalogue-wide platform claim leaves individual title, locale and operation coverage to be verified. ShortDramaKit coverage.

Which should I evaluate first?

If you want an endpoint to plug into an established data pipeline, start with Crawlora's relevant contract. If your immediate deliverable is an inspected source-linked list, start with ShortDramaKit's first-export workflow. Validate one representative result in your own downstream application before expanding the scope. Make a first export.
